The Institute for the African Child (IAC)
1. Encourages holistic approaches to the understanding the children of Africa.
* Expands the conversation among African Studies across all academic disciplines.
* Seeks partnerships and affiliations with professional organizations focused on Africa's children.
2. Promotes research and advocacy for the children of Africa.
* Sponsors an annual international conference on Africa's children.
* Publishes an online, peer reviewed journal, Childhood in Africa: An Interdisciplinary Journal
